About Me

That's me (on the left) with my BFF Laura.
After attending college in north-western PA I came back to my hometown, bought my first house, and settled in as a public accountant.  I worked long hours and had very few friends at home that I had stayed in contact with through college. I figured this was my life and got on with it.  In my spare time I would read healthy living blogs and started to work out at a local gym.
Through reading the healthy living blogs I found Young House Love.  My 20+ year- old condo needed some improvements and Young House Love sent me into heaven with ideas on how to make my house a home.  My spare time started to fill up quickly with home projects and gym time.

Then I met my (now) Husband...

He had built his own cookie-cutter house around the same time I had bought my condo.  We quickly decided his single-family home was a better option than my condo and I put my house on the market.  But, the DIY bug was still in me and his builder-basic white wall house was dying for a woman's touch.  I moved in about 9 months later and we started to liven things up.

Two years later, he finally popped the question and we got married 15 months after our engagement!

Two months after our wedding we went on our honeymoon.  It was amazing; 5 days in Walt Disney World and then 5 days in Clearwater Beach to hang out in the Gulf.

And then, roughly 9 months later ;) we were blessed with our first baby.  A beautiful and amazing baby girl.

In that time we have continued to update our house to make it our home.  I've changed jobs multiple times and still have trouble finding my place in the job market.  I started to read all different blogs and I've been trying my hand at website design and graphic design.  I have a passion for helping people and hope to find my purpose through writing and connecting on here.  Follow me along on our journey from single homeowners to a family and see what the future has in store by "learning to live a happy and healthy life, one foot touching the pavement at a time"
